Postponed until MONDAY 5/19. Starts at 4:00pm. Athletes will be dismissed from GHS at 1:30, from Manchester at 1:45. Bus will leave GHS at 1:45 and pick up Manchester by 2:00. BE READY TO LEAVE ON TIME!

GHS Home Track Meet

April 7th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

The NEW Newell Stadium

Since this is the first home meet at Gloucester High School in almost a decade, we are trying to put together an Alumni Mile. Any GHS or MERHS alumni who is interested in testing out the new track should email gloucestertrack@gmail.com and let us know! We already have a few alumni signed up. The Alumni Mile will start at 4 pm. Also Mayor Carolyn Kirk will be in attendance to throw shot put! 

Gloucester vs. Beverly

Tomorrow April 1st at Beverly High School the GHS team will open their season with an out of division competition. The Northeastern Conference is separated into Large and Small schools, GHS is in the Small division. The buses (we need 2!) leave Gloucester around 2:30/2:45 and will pick the Manchester athletes up on the way. The meet starts at 4:00 pm at Beverly's track.

Spring Track Information & Schedule

There will be a meeting after school on Monday 3/3 at Gloucester High School for students interested in Spring Track.
There will be a meeting after school on Wednesday 3/5 at Manchester-Essex High School for students interested in Spring Track.

At these meetings all of the forms and information for Spring Track will be handed out. The forms (concussion, physical, user fee) need to be handed in BEFORE practice starts on March 17th. You MUST have all of your paperwork in before you can start practicing with the team.

Division 3 State Qualifiers

So far this season GHS athletes have achieved 18 individual qualifying marks (of the 13 athletes who qualified, 5 qualified in more than one event) and 4 qualifying marks in relay events. At least 3 more athletes are less than a second from qualifying in their respective races and all have the potential to qualify on Thursday vs. Salem at the last home meet of the year. Don't miss it!!!

Northeastern Conference Meet at Reggie Lewis Center - Bus leaves at 2:00 PM SHARP, do not be late. If you are taking an exam during the make up block, let your teacher know BEFORE the exam starts that you will be dismissed at 1:50 PM. Meet starts at 4:30 PM.

MARBLEHEAD MEET

Marblehead High School is closed tomorrow due to snow, therefore the meet will be postponed until Tuesday, January 28th. 

As of now (7pm) Gloucester High School is still opened for tomorrow. Stay tuned for further updates...

Delayed opening, GHS school day will start at 9:30, there WILL be practice after school.

Meet starts at 4 PM in the Field House. All athletes should be in the Field House no later than 3 PM. 

If you haven't paid your user fee for this season, get it in ASAP.

Raffle Tickets are due to your captains by Friday 12/20. Everyone who sells at least 20 tickets will get a gift from the Boosters at the end of the season banquet. The more tickets sold as a team, the better the surprise will be!! If you sold all of yours and can sell more, see one of the coaches.
