Josh Palazola ran the 1200m leg in 3:04.1, followed by Ngai Otieno who ran 49.5 for the 400 leg, next up was a 1:56.4 for the 800m leg from Shawn Milne, Tristan Colangelo rounded out the foursome with a 4:09.9 1600m leg. Their time of 9:59.94 set a MA HS State Record, HS National Meet Record and a National High School Record. It not only shattered the old record of 10:10.3 (set in 1998) but also marks the first (and only) time an American High School team has run under 10:00 for this relay indoors. Their closest competitor that day was over 17 seconds behind them at the finish.
This weekend several hundred HS athletes will head to the New York City Armory for the Nike Indoor National meet where several teams will toe the line in hopes of bringing down this record.

GHS keeps the record for another year, by a couple hairs. Cardinal O'Hara from PA ran 10:00.75 last night, closest bid yet.
